Out-of-favour winger Ryan Botha is likely to continue on his nomadic way after enduring a frustrating two years on the sidelines at Moroka Swallows since joining from Thanda Royal Zulu.
Botha tells KickOff.com that the little game time that he has seen at Swallows has made him realise that he has no future in the Birds Nest.
"My contract is up in June and I don't see Swallows offering me a new deal because I haven't been playing," states Botha.
"In any case I want to be playing and not sitting on the bench and the stands like I have been doing during my time here at Swallows. It has been a very frustrating spell here. I arrived here with high expectations but things haven't happened my way which is why I think it is better that I look elsewhere next season.
"Right now I am part of the Amabinneplaas squad that is off to Botswana to play in some CHAN qualifiers. I hope that I will be able to put up some convincing performances to market myself for a move to another club next season," Botha adds.
Looking back at his stay at Swallows he says it hasn't brought him any joy playing under both Julio Leal and Rainer Zobel.
"Last season the coach (Julio Leal) didn't play me because he didn't believe in wingers, but even when I told him I can play as a striker he didn't seem interested. This season I thought the German coach would use the European style of using strikers but it hasn't been the case. But the coach (Zobel) has been using a lot of youngsters this season, so much that he even pushed a leftback to play in my position," explains Botha.
The 29 year-old has been at 13 clubs since breaking into the professional ranks at SuperSport United a decade ago.
