On-loan Fanteni unsure of future

Orlando Pirates striker Thembinkosi ‘Terror' Fanteni has conceded that his loan spell at the club has turned out to be disappointing and he remains unsure about his immediate future.
Fanteni arrived at Pirates on loan from Israeli club Maccabi Haifa amid high expectations at the beginning of the season; however he has managed just a single strike in an injury ravaged season.
"I am very disappointed about the way the season has gone for me. I am not going to hide anything about this; I am disappointed," admits Fanteni.
"We didn't have a very good season which didn't help my situation despite having started off very well. The reason why I only scored one goal was because I didn't play many games as I was injured.
"I am disappointed because I came back to South Africa wanting to score plenty of goals that would have taken me back to Bafana Bafana ahead of the World Cup but it didn't happen.
"I thought my chances of playing for the national team would be better if I came back to play here at home, but its all been disappointing for me. Right now I have fallen out of consideration for the national team because of the bad season that I had.
"I cannot blame myself, the coach or the team for my disappointment, because there was absolutely nothing I could have done about the injuries that I picked up.
"I had an ankle injury which kept me out for two months and then battled with a shoulder injury that sidelined me for six weeks and this all happened during a very short season," Fanteni tells KickOff.com.
With his loan deal at Pirates ending in May, Fanteni remains uncertain of what will happen next and is also yet to make a decision.
"When my loan expires at the end of May, I will revert back to being a Maccabi Haifa player. After that though Pirates have the option of buying me outright.
"I have to go back to Maccabi because I still have a contract with the club. I haven't heard anything and will only decide once the season ends, it is only then that I will decide where I go," he says.
