Injured SuperSport United defender Morgan Gould has still not given up hope of making it into Bafana Bafana's World Cup squad.

Gould who has been good form for United was left out of the Bafana training squad that travelled to Brazil this week due to an ankle injury that has ruled him out of action for six weeks.

Speaking to KickOff.com the defender said he was disappointed that he missed the national team's camp in Brazil.

"But I guess it was God's way that things happen like this. The doctors have given me six weeks to recover but my injury is coming well and I may return back to action earlier than that. There are still more two Cup tournaments to play and I will give it my best shot to make it into the final squad for the World Cup."

Gould also expressed his sadness that his former team Ezenkosi would be returning back to the First Division next season.

"I am what I am today because of Cosmos. They are a good team with good players but Lady Luck seems to have deserted them.

"I hope that they will bounce back to the PSL after the end of next season," he adds.

Get well broe. We need you in that defence. I beleive you can stop that French Nasri who was terrorising fc porto defence last night.

You are mentally and physically stronger than Bongani Khumalo, which is what is needed to intimidate Thierry Henry and co.
