Lobo - Komphela not to blame

Platinum Stars stand-in captain, Almiro Lobo, has absolved coach Steve Komphela from any blame after Dinaledi's worst League finish in years.
Mozambican-born defender, Lobo tells kickoff.com that it is the players that should shoulder most of the blame for the poor position the club finished the Absa Premiership in.
Dinaledi ended their forgettable season on a low note with a 2-0 loss to BIDVest Wits, their fifth defeat in a row.
The season was characterised by similar uninspiring performances and some sections of supporters, media and players themselves laying the blame on Komphela, leading to speculation about his future at the club.
The club meanwhile have rebuked those critics and Lobo agrees with their sentiments.
"Komphela is a good coach but he cannot go into the field and score goals," Lobo says.
"We missed a lot of chances this season. We just needed luck to score the goals."
Komphela has this season been at loggerheads with some of his key players; Lefa Mogaila, Oscar Ntwagae and Godfrey Sapula were some of the players who didn't see eye to eye at times with him. Injured duo, star striker Simba Marumo and club captain Stanley Kgatla have also had their problems with the former Bafana Bafana skipper while the club recently terminated the contract of perennially AWOL Thabiso Monareng.
Subsequently Stars had their worst season in years with them finishing third from bottom and five points above possible relegation. They only managed 26 goals but leaked 34.
