VV - Keepers were excellent

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Vladimir Vermezovic says Itumeleng Khune and Moeneeb Josephs are the reason the Soweto Derby finished goalless.

The Serbian was speaking after his charges drew 0-0 against Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

"We played today wanting to win," he says. "But the keepers were excellent and they made it difficult for the players to score.

"I'm satisfied with my players," Vermezovic says, also shooting down claims that the likes of Siphiwe Tshabalala haven't been giving their best as they are apparently reserving themselves for the World Cup in June.

"I don't believe they are doing that and I expect them to be professionals," he says.

Vermezovic was full of praise for his team's youngsters. "Today's game shows that Kaizer Chiefs has a future. We used a lot of young players in the game and I think in a couple of years they can be real stars of Kaizer Chiefs," he says.

pappas, PLEASE DON'T ATTACK kgabo. THE GUY IS NOT TALKING ABOUT OUR CHIEFS. HE IS TALKING OF A CERTAIN REJECT OF SUNDOWNS CALLED "Mosuna" PLAYING FOR A CERTAIN CLUB CALLED "A-team". I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A PLAYER WHO WAS REJECTED BY SUNDOWNS & THE ONLY A-team I know DOES NOT PLAY SOCCER. IN A SERIOUS NOTE THOUGH, MY OBSERVASION IS THAT THE SA-SOWETO DERBY IS STILL HOT. MAY BE PEARL, pappas, kgabo & NESTA WILL ARGUE THAT THERE HAVE NOT BEEN GOALS IN THE RECENT DERBIES BUT THEN I CAN ALSO REMIND THEM THAT IF THE TWO TEAMS' GOALKEEPERS WERE BRIAN BALOYI & THABANI STEMMER THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN LOTS OF GOALS SCORED.

@ anthony chimpz failed to score against brian except dt dubious penalty given by damon as always, how many chies has scored in da past five games, ur leading goal scorer has how many, common man dont b blinded by the chairman. Chiefs has no strikers ada thn those mediocre, mosuna like scara n khanyi ddnt make da great to play for a- team s they where not impressed in da trial with the under19.

VV just face it, Nhleko and Musona were suppose to start the match together, Finish and Klaar!

You have exposed Musona to four bully, vicious and bulky stupid Pierats Defender, Mahamotsa,Lekgwathi,Thwala and Makonase (oh! this guy must go to WWE restling)

Now you come to the open media and say keepers were excellent, Phhleeaas, we deserve better than a 0-0. NXXX!
