Kermit on target again

Kermit on target again

Posted: 20 February 2010 Time: 9:51 am

South Africa striker Kermit Erasmus scored for his Dutch side Excelsior Rotterdam on Friday night, his ninth goal of the season for the club.

But Erasmus' strike could not help his side from losing 4-2, though personally he will have been delighted to net a fifth goal in his last six matches.

He has now scored nine goals in 20 League starts for Excelsior since joining them on loan at the start of the season from Feyenoord.

It caps a wonderful week for the 19-year-old, who was nominated as one of the three finalists for the 2009 CAF Young Player of the Year title.

Sorry for busting into ur forum!!!

Our problem in SA is players from Gauteng our team is full of them, losers in football!Thats their players aren't making it overseas!!!They might claim Steven Pienaar but his roots are from the Cape. The likes of Benni,Fortune,Ngcongca,Bartlett,Kermit Erasmus,Asanda etc..all have it overseas and some went straight from the Cape's academies to Europe.

Its a pity that our soccer is controlled in this TALENTLESS Gauteng.

Ruud I disagree the SCORING PROBLEM IS A SOWETO/GAUTENG THING. Proof is the SOWETO derby 0-0 as expected. Die mense speel kak!!!

After listening to Boebie's interviwe I agree with him that SA soccer lacks on aspect SCORING!!!

That part of the game is only found in the CAPE!!!!Mark Williams,Benni,Barttlet,Erasmus etc.. have all proven that they can SCORE in HIGH LEVEL SOCCER. Sowetans run around the whole day without scoring.
