Orlando Pirates left for Botswana yesterday ahead of their preliminary CAF Champions League round first leg match against hosts Gaborone United.
Coach Ruud Krol's team was set to hold an open training session upon arrival yesterday afternoon and then a closed door session today ahead of Saturday's match to be played at the University of Botswana Stadium in Gaborone.
Krol and his charges left in high spirits following their convincing 2-0 drubbing of AmaZulu on Wednesday night at Orlando Stadium.
The win ended the Mighty Buccaneers' disappointing run of four successive draws, which will certainly serve as a motivation ahead of the club's Champions League encounter.
The Bucs mentor has made his intentions clear regarding his Champions League aspirations, stating that he is taking a full strength team to Botswana.
"We don't know much about our opponents, but I was able to get my hands on some DVDs," revealed Krol.
"It's a Champions League match and we will take everything seriously from the start to finish, hence I will take a squad that we believe can do the business."
