Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is hoping Ghana can build on the momentum of their win over Angola and reach their first Africa Cup of Nations Final since 1992 on Thursday.

The Black Stars will discover their opponent for that game in Luanda when Nigeria play Zambia. The Ghanaian players they care very little about who they will play but confidence is high that they can reach the showpiece final again.

"We are badly exhausted from the Angola win so Monday is recovery day and the afterwards we will prepare for the semi final match," Badu told KickOffGhana.com.

"Whoever we meet we are very confident we can reach the final. Belief in this team is really high."

The Black Stars have not played in the African football showpiece final since losing to Ivory Coast on penalties in 1992 but with every game, a team that was not given a chance by even some of their most ardent fans giving Ghanaians belief that it could well be a very successful Nations Cup.

Gethsemani,
Get this right, football is about winning it is the goals that determine the winner. Which country in Africa plays better soccer than Ghana but that is not the ultimate about competition. At the end of the day, a team is judged by the number of goals they score not how beautiful they played. In the 2006 world cup tournament, Ghana played better than Brazil but who won? Ball possession statistics on that game was 63% to 37% but what happened, "fine fine soccer didn't win". Your man Keshi made similar argument when our under 20 met Brazil in the finals of the world. Keshi swore that he doesn't see how Ghana could win the tournament but we did. For your information this is our youthful team come June and all the big guys will assemble to deliver. Anyway thanks for congrantulating our boys.

My brother Gethsemani,
I think you are not being fair to both Ghana and Nigeria. Tell me which countries in Africa have better records in soccer than Ghana and Nigeria? Review the records from under 17 upwards and tell me if one single country in Africa comes closer to Ghana and Nigeria. Finally, times have changed, so please give them chance to regroup. All is not lost yet. Ghana and Nigeria are going to do well at the world cup. Mark it somewhere.
