Adebayor back on Sunday?

Emmanuel Adebayor could be back training at Manchester City on Sunday, according to manager Roberto Mancini.

The Togo forward has been in his native country mourning the death of his national team's assistant coach and press officer, but he is expected back in England at the weekend.

Adebayor asked for extended leave after the shooting of the Togo bus ahead of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations, which was granted by the club.

"I am sweating every day and I can't eat. I will take my time and come back on the pitch at the right time,” he said after the tragic incident. "My boss [Mancini] and my team understand that, that is the most important thing. They know I need time to recover from this.

"It is difficult because my personal press officer died in my hands; that is the worst image I have had in my life. He passed away in my hands. It is very difficult."

Take your time son - they don't need you as yet with Tevez and Benjani partnering well upfront!
