Bhasera close to QPR move

Posted: 21 January 2010 Time: 12:32

Kaizer Chiefs team manager Bobby Motaung tells KickOff.com that Onismor Bhasera is close to joining English Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

The Zimbabwean left back is in dispute with Kaizer Chiefs over his contract, claiming it expired last year in June as he looked to make a move to Portsmouth where he had been offered a three-year contract, but Chiefs maintained that they had a year option on the player and extended it.

The matter was referred to Fifa towards the end of last year, but to date no decision had been taken.

Bhasera is now training with Rangers, after he was invited by former Portsmouth coach Paul Hart, who has also left Rangers, but Bhasera looks set to stay longer at the club as Chiefs reveal that the two teams are negotiating and in "good faith", unlike with Portsmouth, the club that was adamant that they were not going to pay Chiefs for Bhasera, who had informed them that he is a free agent.

"We have started negotiating with QPR and I think they are going to take the boy," Motaung reveals to KickOff.com.

"I will follow-up it up tomorrow. We want Bhasera to play football and it looks like he might join QPR as negotiations are going well so far," Motaung adds.

This is a good move for Bhasera. I watch a lot of Coca Cola Championship football and QPR play a very attractive brand of football and have some good players like Jay Simpson and Wayne Routledge.

Correct call. It's "all the best khosi", "we are the best", "well done Bobby" all the way to bankruptcy and death of the team. Kaizer Cheaps fans are "stans" that Eminem sings about.

Hahaha, looking at Bhasera's age, and the fact that his countrymen (Benjani for one) are playing in top levels, can you seriously say he's getting a good deal? Really? Wow, you are gay dude!

"Amakhosikazi fans are females on periods, so emotional."

I can't beleive it took you so long to figure out how Chiefs fans are so pathetic an annoying. Though it is harsh to say chips fans are females on periods, but it wouldn't be so painfull to call them "Pregnant Men".

Whenever you read a post from a Cheaps fan, you get 99.9% emotions, and only 0.1% fact. It's really sad.
