Voda sides set for Cup battles

Mnguni Young Stars of Mpumalanga has been drawn to play Tower United from the Free State in a once-off Play-off to determine the eighth team to represent Safa in the Nedbank Cup last 32 stage.

Nine teams made it to this stage of the tournament at Safa level, and with only eight needed the draw was the inevitable decider.

The Play-off between Young Stars and Tower United will be played at a neutral venue in Johannesburg on the weekend of December 12-13.

The winner will join the remaining seven to contest the last 32 stage. This stage is made up of 16 teams from the Premier Soccer League, eight from the National First Division and another eight from Safa.

The seven Safa teams already going into the draw at this stage are:
FC Royals (Eastern Cape), M Tigers (Gauteng), Islands FC (KwaZulu Naal), Peace Lovers (Limpopo), Wings United (North Cape), Als Puk Tawana FC (Northwest) Mr Price Parkhurst (Western Cape).
