Zamfara officials hammered by NPL

Zamfara United FC Supporters Club Chairman Abdullahi Ladan and member Shuaibu Maikeke have been sanctioned by the Nigeria Premier League for assaulting match officials in Wednesday's League game against Gateway.
Ladan was suspended for the rest of the season, while Shauibu Maikeke was handed a five-year ban from all NPL-organized activities. In addition, the club have been slammed with a N200 000 fine.
The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Premier League, Al-Hassan Saleh Yakmut expressed dissatisfaction on the conduct of Zamfara Utd FC supporters club.
“The NPL wishes to express her displeasure over the incident as such conduct is contrary to NPL aspirations in taking the league to a greater height.”
Yakmut further urged Zamfara Utd FC to ensure that Shuaibu Maikeke is prosecuted in the court of law for assault and public nuisance.
