Rangers, Bayelsa headline NPL return

Posted: 18 November 2009 Time: 04:07 pm

Nearly four weeks after their Under-17 World Cup-enforced recess, the Nigeria Premier League returns to the front-burner with champions Bayelsa United travelling to giants Rangers for the top-billed game of the week.

That game is only one in a host of tasty crackers this midweek.

In Owerri, CAF Champions League finalists Heartland welcome Dolphins, who are looking to unleash some new signings.

League leaders Lobi Stars are away to former champions Ocean Boys, while fallen giants Shooting Stars continue their quest for redemption at home to Kaduna United.

Port Harcourt will rumble for the clash between local addictions Sharks and their cross state rivals Enyimba, who are currently ensconced in second place on the standings.

Kwara United will be home to Sunshine Stars and Zamfara United will be wary of visitors Wikki Tourists.

Fixtures: Rangers v Bayelsa 3SC v Kaduna United Tornadoes v Warri Wolves Ranchers Bees v Gateway Gombe United v Kano Pillars Sharks v Enyimba Ocean Boys v Lobi Stars Heartland v Dolphins Zamfara Utd v Wikki Tourists Kwara United v Sunshne Stars

Tunisian Football Federation, have just sacked Coach Humbergo Coelho. Wat a serious football Authority,if it were 2 be Nigeria,Useless NFF chairman Sani MUMU Abdullahi will open d stinking mouth he uses 2 drink kunu, and say Amodu remains. I pity Nigeria and the SE in the AFCON,i pray they pitch us with Mozambique,Ghana and Coted'voire,in d world cup,i dont see us getting 2 d next round,if dis clueless and tactically derailed man continues as Coach. He should not be sacked, but should leave with mutual agreement. We'll become d whipping boys at the WC,the bitter truth need 2 be told,Ken Gaddafi and Billion,i dey wait 4 una........THE BEST IS YET 2 COME!

Amodu totally lacks tactics, the world has gone scientific,so do football, soccer is now all about 70%tactics,29%understanding and 1% luck. And dis is wat the SE lacks. Check out the game plan of Amodu in very important matches, playing 4 holding midfielders in a match where he needs goals, and u call him a coach? SE,totally playing with lack of understanding, especially in the back four (Yobo and Shittu),leading to unecessary own goal, the goalkeeper,is always exposed,no cracker from the midfield etc. As for Billion and Gaddafi,Amodu remains, arrant nonsense,Amodu should go!.......THE BEST IS YET 2 COME!
