The 27-year-old has been frustrated in his efforts to impress new coach Hristo Stoitchkov, and is currently not training with the first team, spending his time alone in the gym.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Moroka Swallows and now it seems he will be off again – albeit this time on a permanent contract.
“I’ve had a few offers for Sydney – two from Belgium and Turkey, and also two from PSL clubs,” says Colin April, Plaatjies business manager. “I have referred all interest to Sundowns and now we wait on their response.
“He is clearly not in the coach’s plans and is ready to move on. He still has two years remaining on his contract, but we are confident the club is willing to let him go.”
Plaatjies has made only four starts for Sundowns since joining from Jomo Cosmos two years ago.

hehehehehe!!!! Belive me, on friday there would be another story from sundowns for a player living but having 4 years left in his contracts after spending 5 years with the team without seeing action
I think they should buy Fernandez and a left sided player during the open window.
