Kenya line up Kuwait friendly

Posted: 30 October 2009 Time: 13:27

Kenya’s Harambee Stars will play an international friendly against Kuwait next Wednesday in Cairo ahead of their November 14 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria in Nairobi.

Kenyan football is not exactly famous for pristine planning but Football Kenya Limited senior vice chairman, Titus Kasuve, told the Daily Nation that all arrangements are in place and the team will fly out to Cairo on Sunday.

"The match agents for Kuwait have already sent us the tickets and we will use this match as our build-up before the next World Cup qualifier," Kasuve said.

The Harambee Stars, comprised mostly of domestic players for the time being, have already started training earlier this week ahead of the tie.

Kenya playing friendly match? wow that means thaos boys are prepare to make Nigeria sweat on November 14. But when is Nigeria going to play their own friendly match? What kind of coach do we have that does not see the need for friendly matches ahead of important games? Support must now take matters into their hand and let nff continue to sink down the rail. too bad!too bad!!too bad!!!

Why are we not playing friendly? if we take Kenya for granted we may just regret it as we did with Tunisia. Please organise a friendly with Ethiopia or Somalia, Sudan or Uganda, if not we are doomed!!!

how would you expect eagles to play friendly matches when we have an FA who thought playing friendly matches will make our boys loose their spots in their respective clubs and also we have a COACH who is afraid of playing friendly matches, and sees no importance in them????
by the way ojo-oba said in an interview that the whole of nigerian sports is sucking, so its a kind of lets suck it on..

Well, Amodu’s method of preparing for the match is apparently to fly off to Europe to observe the players.

When asked by Brila FM about the squad list, his reply was:
[sic] I have to finish my monitoring of the boys in Europe next week before I make any decision.
[sic] "I am going to Europe and when I come back I will updated".
