A late goal by Phikolethu Spelman earned Santos a 2-2 draw against 10-man SuperSport United.
In a tightly fought battle, Santos took the lead through Graham King's free kick after 19 minutes.
Taken on the right flank with his left foot, King's curling set piece was missed by everyone including goalkeeper Emille Baron and the ball found the far corner of the net.
But the champions replied quickly with a great goal by 19-year-old Thandani Ntshumayelo.
After the break, Bongani Khumalo said something harsh to Tshepo Motsoeneng and after referee Peter Mabuza checked with his assistant, United's captain was sent off. This happened in the 52nd minute.
SuperSport get on with things and actually up the temp.
They score a second through Morgan Gould who powerfully heads in Ntshumayelo's cross, in what looks to be well-worked winner against all odds.
But Santos don't give up. Their strong defence is complimented by the quick counter attacks and this is how they equalise.
In the dying seconds of the match, Spelman gets on the end of a low Chapman cross but SuperSport have themselves to blame for some loose defending.
