Henyekane expects to be watched

Posted: 2009-10-22 14:55

Golden Arrows striker Richard Henyekane is expecting to be watched closely when Abafana Bes’thende meet Ajax Cape Town in the MTN8 Cup Final on Saturday night at Orlando Stadium.

“I am always marked closely but I am used to it. Its part of the game and it forces me to up my game you know. Being quick is not all, I have to be smarter so that I can get to the ball before a defender does,” said the speedy forward after a grueling training session at the Howard campus sports fields.

“But if Ajax is going to watch me only then they’ll be making a mistake. We have very good players in every position and each one of them can do damage,” he says on Arrows’ website.

“Ajax has very good players too but I don’t want to mention names or be too concerned about what they will do. This is a team sport and Arrows want the trophy, not Richard Henyekane. I am a part of this team.”

Winning the R8 million first prize is more than enough motivation according to the Kimberley-born player who says they play to win every match irrespective of the prize.

“Every match is a must win for us. We approach every game with the aim to win, I mean what other approach is there?

“But yes the prize is a big motivating factor and playing in a final too is a dream come true for all of us. We want this club to be successful and we are on the path to glory.

“This game will be over in 90 minutes. We are going all out,” he said confidently.

**** the Germans because stats shows that they are just like south africa in terms of crime

Note: Crime statistics are often better indicators of prevalence of law enforcement and willingness to report crime, than actual prevalence. Per capita figures expressed per 1,000 population.Crime Statistics > Total crimes (per capita) (most recent) by country

Many thanks for the stats Suuny...hope the right wings of this country can view them

Back to the headline @ hand; I feel what Henyekane is trying to say. Being watched by opposition is not a good thing as I think Nhleko would attest to that. You get elbowed, kicked, insulted, etc...

My advice would be to contact a world striker who is always watched...I mean victimized in every game he plays and yet never loses his cool or complain, a team player who also let others shine with his defence splitting passes, a striker who I feel can take us to the world cup semis...NHLEKO!!!
If Henyekane can do what NHKELO does, He might partner him come 2010.

Some of the reasons why Carlos Alberto Parreira is the perfect choice for Bafana Bafana:
1.He's the only coach who can bring back our proven goal scorer(Benni).
2.Truly speaking, he plays beautiful futbol, does not defend like his cousin Santana.
2.Apart from having international experience,Parreira knows most of BB players & their abilities.
3.He had alwys selected best players, some of them made their names during Parreira's tenure.Teko Modise, Bryce Moon, Itu Khune,Dikgacoi etc.

I still believe Bafana would be far by now if the man ddn'nt left.Remember the game against Paraguay!!!!!!!!!!!!
