Amokachi twins try out at Everton

Posted: 20 October 2009 Time: 10:11

The twin sons of former Everton striker Daniel Amokachi, Nazim and Khaled, have been undergoing trials at his old club.

"They have been trying out with the Everton Under-13s for the past five weeks," Amokachi informed Goal.com   "Everything is going really well for the boys and we are all confident they will be considered good enough by Everton.   "One of them is a very gifted attacking midfielder, while the other has taken after me, he is all power and heart. But it is their decision to pursue a football career, and if they are considered good enough, I have no objection to their choice."   The twins will not be short of inspiration after the warm reception their father received when he accompanied them to Liverpool.   "They could not believe that many years after I left the club, the fans still have not forgotten about me," he smiled.   The 36-year-old Amokachi, earned the nickname 'Amo-taxi' after playing two seasons at the Toffees, where he played 43 matches and scored ten goals, winning the English FA Cup in 1995.

well done Amokachi, i say well done!! i am happy for your wonderful kids. i hope they will bring joy into our faces, as for many years now, we have been looking for heros.
i hope u are going to father them like ABEDI PELE of Ghana whose children are contributing great football talent to their country. we all saw what Ayew did in the just concluded world youth championship.
now that we all know the true age of your children, i hope they will make us proud again! i say, good luck to them. In Jesus name, I wish them well.
Nigerians, this is what we are praying for, wonderful kids that will make us proud again, and again!!!!

That is good example for ex- Super Eagle so that other ex-super eagles can follow by doing the same things.

In the next under 17 tournaments they can call to play for our great country Nigeria.
I wish them best of luck

The Bull met their mom during Tunisia "94. We know when they were born and will certainly vouch for them age wise. I wish them the best and hope they'll replicate the Man U born Brazilian twins in their own way.

Forumites,JJ Okocha's son and his daughter Daniella are all playing soccer in the Bolton academy, dis is as at 3yrs ago. Papilo's son Shaun Kanu, also plays soccer in an academy in london,i think it should be the Arsenal academy, cos he played for Arsenal kids exhibition game in december 2007,and according 2 soccerstar,he shone like a million stars,he played alongside the children of other great arsenal legends.

atleast if the twins plays in Nigeria under-17,that will be the first time in the history of Nigeria where players will play with their real age.Bcos we all know when they were born and the newspapers that reported their birth at the time are still in my archives.

I hope these kids are still in school because education is very important no matter what.
We all saw what happened during the MTN-AIT football awards were some of the receipients of the award were very afraid of the microphone because they could not express themselves. I just do not want to mention names.
The BULL, kudos to you but just make sure your kids have quality education.
