Ajax Cape Town players who were with Amajita in Egypt have declared war on Golden Arrows ahead of the MTN8 Final at Orlando Stadium on October 24.
Talking to KickOff.com today the players, who include Thulani Serero, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Sameehg Doutie, George Maluleka and Tawfeeq Salie say they want to win the Cup by all means.
“It was sad, very sad when we heard that Chiefs had beaten us 3-0 in a League game. We want to win as many games as we can in the League but now we want the MTN8 Cup more than anything.
“It is my first Cup Final and I want to win it. I know Arrows are a good team but on the day we will be better and win. I am ready if the coach gives me the chance to die on the field for that medal,” says Serero.
Hlatshwayo adds given the chance to play he will stop at nothing but winning the trophy.
“We have learnt a lot from Egypt and we will use some of those tricks in the Final against Arrows. They are playing very well now but we are ready for them. We just want to go and win the trophy,” he adds.
Doutie says that they are focused to win the trophy.
“We will be focused on the day. Whether I play or my other teammates play, we all have the same vision, and that is winning the MTN8 Final. We have won other trophies but not the MTN8 and this is our time,” he adds.
