Imihlola kaJames le... Anyway, maybe one of this days I'll play for Bafana too. I'm really confused, last years players much ass it was a second stream team, they were all players who were perfoming in their respective teams. What criteria was used to come up with this squad? S'funukwazi...

KGOPAS : 2009-10-17 04:51

Shakes is no more a soccer player, he is just display unit at chloorkop.

Henrique from Zenzele,near KwaMhlanga : 2009-10-17 07:57

Thizo: 2009-10-17 08:10

@Eric : 2009-10-17 02:24

which team do you think was going to release their best perfoming players for a mickey mouse tounament that doesnt fall under the Fifa calendar?

guys use your common sense, they have selected players that are not used by teams because all the teams are playing league games this weekend

Jay : 2009-10-17 08:13

Has SA changed in to being a charity 4 old players who are not gud at club levels no wonder y we beaten left and right and they chose another useless coach they cud have chose a former player 2 coach e.g doctor, radebe and more damn safa is a disgrace

manley: 2009-10-17 08:15

what a good initiative by Khabo zondo and his assistant to give these players a chance, it is with regret that some of the people who contributes to this column refer to these players as finished and old crocks but they are great and good players is just that they cannot breack into the first team of their respective clubs and some are just not given a chance by their respective coaches, i say they must go out there and enjoy themselves , play beautifull football for themselves , for the nation and for their families, because they have nothing to prove as they are great players, habashwe!!!

tumi: 2009-10-17 08:16

decisions that SAFA makes are very questionable wherether the leadership is capable.why did they employ Khabo Zondo??Santana is a national team coach..this is a platform for him to look at other players that he usually select and do use,and also used the under 20 players for continuity and exposure.what is happenning to our LEADERSHIP??????????????

Henrique from Zenzele,near KwaMhlanga : 2009-10-17 08:16

If SAFA & their mentally retarded coach are serious & have a best interests of our football, they would have opted 4 about 80% of the team dat took part in under 20 WC in Egypt. Except 4 mayb the likes of Classen & Erasmus( 4me they Bafana material). By the way who's dat coach?

Henrique from Zenzele,near KwaMhlanga : 2009-10-17 08:57

If u r developing Mokhasi,Makhanya,Ngwenya,Biyela,Ramudzuli what message r u sending 2 the Sereros,Khumalos,Masangos,Keets. Dis is an absolute insult 2 dis guys. Developing a 30 yr old is it a wisdom or stupidity? I guess d latter! Maybe we staunch football lovers shud 1 day mobilise & go and toyi-toyi,burn tyres, block d roads at d SAFA House 2 demand service delivery. Cos it seems if u want 2 be heard in SA jy moet zabalaza. We r tired of dis nonsense!

Hahahahahaha

ToughJ : 2009-10-17 09:30

Ja, dis is not a development team.. bt i kno most teams wont allow their best youngsters 2 leave again.. bt we shuld try 2 get players 4rm development teams, under18s, 17s downwads

Wow what a useless team and their coach. Last time Serake made a veri good mix of experience and inexperience. Remember Mahamutsu came 4rm the same development team where he was playing in the first division and why didnt these coaches select only the 1st division players only and dat was gona be a good platform for them to get recognition 4rm the Psl teams and the national team selectors. Anyway goodluck to those players selected

zweli: 2009-10-17 11:54

This is a total waste of time and oxygen.Really!?!Other than maybe Mokhasi,Bishop and Matle how many of this lot have any serious hope of national selection in the future? No competitive match should be wasted. There are many players just outside selection for Bafana/Amajita who could have been selected. There are many players who have previously played who have fallen off but are still young enough to be given a trial. With squads of over 25 I am sure clubs can be asked to give these players time off. Why no players from Mvela or Vodacom?Did we not have school competitions where some players shined?
I give up.

Sizwe : 2009-10-17 12:18

I've been waiting for this since last night...
WHAT THE **** IS ZONDO SMOKING??? None of these players except for bishop is supposed to be in that team.. When last did he see ngwena and makhenya play?? Instead of building for the future, we're going backwards! **** zondo! This is where guys like robin should be featured in, young and promising as for the others, nxa!

bawa: 2009-10-17 12:23

Hello, BAFANA! It is high time we stopped joking.Let's play with almost all the teams that will qualify for ANGOLA 2010 towards our build up.We need African soccer before turning to European one.Test Ghana ,Ivory Coast, Burkina (West Africa),TUNISIA, EGYPT (north) and Cameroun and Gabon(CENTRAL) and etc...this will boost morals but with the same players.........

: 2009-10-17 14:04

They should hav called Letswaka's boys, i mean hw do u develop a dead wood like Makhanya?

cedric: 2009-10-17 15:11

I'm not a fan of pirate but this one my favorite player in mzansi

Sboniso : 2009-10-18 08:00

I think it a good idea 2 use such a tornament with players that did not get chance 2play 4 thier teams.but it could have been a wise to use players who are under 23 so that they get experience

Mgcini: 2009-10-19 13:49

no wonder we are ranked 85th

Thokozane: 2009-10-19 14:56

development: maybe these coaches that have been entrusted with this duty need some explanation as to what development means. can someone tell me what the 30 yr old makhanya doing in the team? i understand the nclusion of Gladwin ****olo, Lebese, Matle, Thwala, Manyisa and the likes. I so wish a lot of these youngsters were picked to represent their country in this DEVELOPMENT team, not these old folks that failed to make an impact during their time!!!!!

Ntokozo2 : 2009-10-19 22:11

I thnk safa shud send pirates 2nd team 2 face mugabe 11 ..

NTOKOZO 22 Kng Wllms Twn : 2009-10-19 22:16

Themba Vundla frm Leslie : 2009-10-20 06:20

Wat is da word development mean 2 SAFA? I dnt c any youngster der- who r dey developing? Under 23 wud represent nd gain mor experience as future Bafanas.

Themba Marabe(emalahleni) : 2009-10-20 06:51

This opportunity should have been given to national first division players.i dont get a reason why they give this opportunity to players that their team coaches has publicly told the nation they are not on his plans. How safa, zondo, ngomane want us the football loving nation to have trust and confidence on this team? The selected players also they dont have confidence themselves.Let us not play with the pride of our nation.Safa get ur acts together or face the consequences.

Themba Marabe(emalahleni) : 2009-10-20 06:54

Supersport played like champions, although theres a room for improvement for black aces to sustain the psl status.it was great to see aces supporters accepting the results with good sportsmanship.

Lonwabo: 2009-10-20 10:33

this is a joke...Ramudzuli,Phala,hayi hayi niyasiqhela ngoku!

James: 2009-10-20 10:45

Seriously, this is a joke !!!! what is happening at SAFA - that place is going to the dogs!!!!
