Orlando Pirates midfielder Joseph Makhanya and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Manqoba Ngwenya are set to get their first taste of competitive football in some time after being included in the South African development team to play in the Cosafa Cup.
South Africa enter this tournament, starting in Zimbabwe next week, as defending champions after winning the cup in Mpumalanga last year.
Another notable figure in the squad that left on Friday to Namibia for an international friendly is transfer-listed AmaZulu midfielder Bafo Biyela.
