There are a couple of crucial matches coming up this weekend, so what better way to embarrass ourselves than trying to predict the scores?
Golden Arrows 1 Bidvest Wits 2
Arrows have gone four games without defeat, but only one of those, against AmaZulu, actually resulted in three points. On Saturday they face a side high on confidence and one who is scoring for fun. Expect the Students to be too clever for Arrows.
Mamelodi Sundowns 2 Kaizer Chiefs 0
Both sides are coming off good wins, and the one who comes away from this game with three points could just go on the charge and challenge the top dogs. Chiefs have some key players injured, so money on the Brazilians to win again.
Black Aces 0 SuperSport United 2
It’s never easy in Mpumalanga, but SuperSport are finding form again after a slow start to the season and should get three more this time out.
Free State Stars 1 Platinum Stars 0
Platinum Stars are in desperate need of a win, but it’s unlikely it will come at Goble Park. The likes of Dillon Sheppard are back from injury, but who starts up-front will be more interesting for the Tycoons.
Orlando Pirates 2 Santos 0
Santos are one of the surprise-packages so far, but Pirates should have too much for them at home. Expect Bucs to extend their lead at the top – and reasonably comfortably as well.
Jomo Cosmos 0 AmaZulu 0
A relegation battle of note, and one Usuthu go into without a number of injured and suspended players. But they are on a high after beating Swallows last time out and should at least get something from this game.
Moroka Swallows 1 Maritzburg United 1
Swallows are struggling and will be without Siyabonga Nomvete and Collins Mbesuma for this game. United are coming off a heavy defeat, but are set to bounce back at Dobsonville.
Ajax Cape Town 1 Bloemfontein Celtic 2
Free-scoring Celtic face injury-ravaged and disrupted Ajax, who are missing a number of key players and who have only had a week to work with a new coach. That should count in Celtic’s favour and extend the Free Stater’s unbeaten start to the season.
