Golden Arrows midfielder Musa Bilankulu has targeted the MTN8 Final against Ajax Cape Town next weekend at Orlando Stadium to make his comeback after recovering from injury.
Bilankulu has been missing in Arrows’ line-up for the past few weeks due to a foot injury he picked in August.
Now he is ready to return back to the field after starting full time training last week.
“I was battling with the injury which I picked when we played Aces in Mpumalanga. I am now fully recovered but I doubt whether the coach will play me in our next League fixture. However, I am confident that I will be ready for the Final against Ajax next weekend.”
Arrows’ coach Manqoba Mngqithi has played Thanduyise Khuboni and Ntlantla Zothwane in the central midfield in the past few games but the return of Bilankulu might provide him with the much needed steel in the middle of the park against the marauding Ajax Cape Town whose youngsters are full of energy.
The Johannesburg-born star is still confident of shining in his new central midfield position which he occupied after the departure of Kagisho Dikgacoi to England.
“I used to play in that position while I was in the Vodacom League with BK Callies, so I am confident that I will continue where I left off before I picked up the injury.”
