Dolphins slam 'criminal' ref

Dolphins have described referee Abubakar Agu's actions in last weekend's 1-1 draw at Shooting Stars as 'criminal'.
The Port Harcourt side went in front with four minutes of time left, and the assistant referee signalled for four minutes of additional time.
But Dolphins Media Officer China Acheru says the game continued for an extra seven minutes, and only ended when 3SC drew level from a freekick, and Dolphins officials were left fuming.
"It is sad to think this man is a FIFA-licenced referee who was even at the center in the last Federation Cup final between Sharks and Enyimba," Acheru lamented.
"Adding eleven minutes when you signified 4 just because you want the home side to equalise is criminal to say the very least.
"After he did his best to ensure the home side won Saturday’s match, Dolphins still went into the lead in the 86th minute but what happened next?
"He indicated for 4 minutes of added time but the game eventually dragged on to the 101st minute and it was after Shooting Stars equalised that he ended the game.
"Maybe if that equaliser did not come we would still be playing the game until this minute.
"The NPL board have for so many years tried to restore the Nigerian League to the place it should be and we believe we all must come together and help our league grow."
