Orlando Pirates captain Lehlohonolo Seema is keeping his fingers crossed that he will recover from injury ahead of the Absa League game against his former team, Bloemfontein Celtic, at Ellis Park Stadium on Friday.

Seema began jogging with his teammates yesterday after missing training for the past week due to a knee injury he picked up in the Telkom Cup game against Thanda Royal Zulu in Johannesburg a fortnight ago.

Speaking to Kick Off, the Lesotho international says doctors will examine his injury again today to determine whether he is ready to begin full time training.

“I’m feeling much better and am waiting to get the green light from the doctors to start full time training. It will be a great game against Celtic, especially as they are the log leaders and I’m hoping that I will be available for selection on Friday.”

Seema also expressed happiness about the return of most of the other players who have been nursing injuries. Ralph Matema, Sello Mhlambi and Lucas Thwala are among those ready to bounce back.

Bucs’ Lebohang Mokoena has not yet begun full time training after suffering an injury during league game against Golden Arrows a few weeks ago.
