The travelling contingent of Bafana Bafana fans, Castle United Super Fans, painted Germany red ahead of the international clash at the Bay Arena.
The 15 travelling fans, courtesy of Castle Lager, arrived at the Bay Arena in Leverkusen singing, dancing and blowing vuvuzelas, taking everyone’s attention, including the local media. Local football fans, mostly from Turkey and other neighbouring states, joined the chorus, while Castle United Super Fans marched through the newly-renovated Bay Arena.
“Bafana Bafana fans are here and everyone should sit up and take notice,” Orlando Pirates fan Mzion says.
“There might be thousands of German supporters at the game, but with our unique way of singing and blowing vuvuzela’s we will surely stand our own ground,” Bloemfontein Celtic charismatic supporter Botha adds.
Kaizer Chiefs fan Ntshebe and Mzekezeke from Mamelodi Sundowns took it upon themselves to teach local fans how to dance and sing the South African way.
“The Castle United Super Fans are very happy people and we are not jealous of teaching others our culture,” Ntshebe says.
“I’m sure Bafana will do us proud,” Mzekezeke adds.
