Kamwendo frustrated by lack of action

Orlando Pirates midfielder Josephy Kamwendo says he will keep on waiting until he gets another chance to play.

Kamwendo has lost his starting berth to young Andile Jali and he either comes on as a second half substitute or does not play at all.
 
Talking to KickOff.com this morning during the Pirates Media Open Day, the Malawian international says he will just keep on working hard.
 
“I am just as surprised as you as to why I am not playing. I know what I am capable of doing and I can do it. You have seen even if I come in the last 20 minutes what I do on the field. It is painful that I am not playing or starting on the bench,” he says.
 
Kamwendo, however, was quick to add that it is all up to the coach to decide who plays and that he will be happy if the team plays and wins even without him.
 
“My only one problem is that I am a Malawian national team player and if I don’t play at my club, I will be dropped from the national team.
 
“The other thing is that my contract is coming to an end this season and if I don’t play it will be tough on my side at the end,” he adds.

The former Caps United player says he trains 100 percent all the time and is fully fit to play a full 90 minutes.

One can just imagine what goes through the mind of this talented midfielder, as this frustrates me as a supporter as well. Everytime the boy enters the field you can easily see the team begins to play. Mr. Krol do not wait for the fans to remind you that there is a player of so much calibre in Kamwendo, please do not destroy this wonderful player.

I respect Rudi Krol and i think he is arguably the best tactitian in the PSL jurging by the way his team play...Orlando Pirates play the best football in SA if not Africa and they are the most exciting side to watch not forgeting Golden Arrows....but i also dont understand why Kamwendo doesnt get a chance to play cos is arguably the best atttacking midfielder in the psl.

Ya neeeee Mr Krol you are a good coach but if you dont stop favoritism you will soon be history at Pirates especialy if you win nothing. How can you prefere Gumbi(good cover) and useless Manyisa over Shakira we are watching you

I'll do my best to remain cool although I'm really hurting. Mr Krol, really, you owe us an explanation as to this guy's lack of game time. You first opted for Manyisa (with very limited skills)and even when Shakira did wonders as his replacement, to our surprise who would still start on d bench d following day.

DO YOU HAVE FAVOURITES IN THE TEAM? DO YOU? WE SUSPECT YOU DO.... SO PLEASE STOP THAT BECAUSE IT'S KILLING THE TEAM.

This is the weak point of Krol! He is the best in the defense and I believe Pirates will also concede few goals this season as it happened last season. In the middle of the pack his main weak point is dropping of JOSEPHY KAMWENDO. We all know the capabilities of Kamwendo and one wonders why he is not playing.

Without taking away the qualities of JALI, I personally think Kamwendo can do much better than him. Jail is still young and learning, Pirates cannot rely on him 90 minutes.

This is the reason why at Pirates strikers are not scoring. They need someone with quality passes and shoots at goal.

Shakira is a very good player but so as Jali. Jali is doing a good job at the moment and he is young plus south african. as much as Shakira is good, he's not better than Jali. you must continue working hard mfana your time will come, for now it's Jali.

Ruudboy if you look at how Kamwendo plays, you want to tell me he cant play where Mashego is playing and do better that him, my brother if you watch bucs closely, Kamwendo keep defenders on their toes whenever he is on the field, his freekickers are good, runs of the ball,greater passer, the boy has all the ingridents every coach would want from a player, im scared we are going to lose him come December, Sundowns is going to sign a pre contract and he is definately going to excel there, phela he doesnt owe us nothing, any opportunity that comes along he will jump for it,, Krol otsaya di chance nxa ene he is very sturbon its not funny.nxa stupid with no brains.

i mean if he can play the likes of Modise, Lekgwathi off positions surely Kamwendo can play where Mashego,Mbuyane and the Useless Mthembu are currently playing. I 'm Bucs fan ,i very worry Mabhakabhaka Krol does not want to use all players .Secondly i don't thing he need assistant which is not good i think is him (Krol) who do not need an assistant .

I'm very sympathetic 2 u Shakira 1 of the best we have @ OP maybe u don't convince Krol @ training or u r a sacrificial lamb personally with the system we r playing u deserve a place 4 midfielders ie Shakira, Jali, Mhlongo, Mabalane then upfront Mashego/Modise then it will be goals galore alternatively Mbuyane/Fanteni

Im Khosi supporter, Shakira is a marvell to watch its really unfortunate that he is not playing and concur with juan pablo and zuks he is the best att midfielder in the psl. Actually Bobsteak may be he shud a least do noble thing buy him and offload Nayaho back to Cosmos

Please Mr Krol give Shakira a chance, I never doubted Jail's talent but Shakira also deserve a chance myb come in second half or start the game. As for Modise & Mashego they think they are untouchable therefore pls replace them with Gert & Fanteni.

Jali has been doing exceptionally well in the middle of the park along side Mhlongo in the past game. and te game before that Jali was also doing excellent. So i think the coach uses the same principles all the coaches use(except the chiefs and sundowns coaches) which is u are only good as ur last game and "Dont change the winning formula"

So if we as supporters come here and think we can dictate who the coach must play and who must not be played we are going to end this season without any silverware as well.

What we need to do is show Kamwendo thatwe support him and his chance will come.

Let us critisize constructively here MABHAKABHAKA. its not use saying he must play when we see very well that Jali and Mhlongo are untouchable there.

Its a pity that Up the Bucs is full of quality. All players in the middle of Pirates are good, but Krol must plan to rotate them according to the game. Games are not the same and Shakira, Chenene, Mongalo, Gert, all need a game time to be fit

as much as kamwendo is a good talent, arguably a bit better than jali in terms of experience, i still think we need to develop south african talent and jali shuld be starting, he can be used as an impact player in the last 20 or so minutes

I think the player that needs to be sacrificed is Mashego, he is too casual. Ruud must also not forget that Gert is now a Pirates player, and I believe he can do much better than Mashego. I am afraid some players are now in the comfort zone, especially Mashego. He is a good player but I still think if he is relegated to the bench, that's when he will wake up.I don't agree with Mnija that Kamwendo is excluded because he is a foreigner, and Ruud is trying to please Dr Khoza. It's an aversight by the coach, and he also needs to wake up as well. Mthembu is also not useless, but each time Mashego has a ball on his feet he looks for Teko. Mthembu was very useful before Mashego came, and also people need to remember that players are also human, i.e. they also have their off days.

Nx waswabisa maan. Pirates were playing well last season its just that we didnt score goals.

The reason that most PSL clubs are not successful is that the fans thinks they can coach the team better than the coach, and guess what if u think u can do a better job than a coach please go and apply for a coaching job in the castle league.

I'm sick and tired of hearing all this PPD(pulling players down) people. how do we expect players to deliver when we as their supporters keep on saying he plays kak and he should be benched, well news flash those players we are demoralizing are the sae players that are suppose to represent us in the national team

NO WONDER BENNI does not wanna come back and play for us, its ppl like us Emmanuel that always tend to see the bas side of them
