Vermezovic not in trouble - PSL

Vermezovic not in trouble - PSL

Posted: 2009-08-25 12:05

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Vladimir Vermezovic will not be hauled before the PSL’s Disciplinary Committee.

This comes after reports that the Serbian missed post-match interviews after his side drew 3-3 with Ajax Cape Town on Sunday in the MTN8 semifinal second leg, subsequently knocked out on a 4-3 aggregate score after losing 1-0 in the first leg.

PSL Prosecutor Zola Majavu says Vermezovic did nothing wrong.

“I got a call from someone asking me if I was aware that the coach didn’t do the post-match interviews. I immediately enquired with the Media Manager, Altaaf Kazi, and he said the coach did all the interviews he was meant to do.

“There was confusion, because the time other Journalists were looking for him, he was doing an interview with Supersport TV. Vermezovic won’t be charged by the PSL, because he didn’t break any rule,” Majavu tells KickOff.com.

It comes hot on the heels of a heavy fine for Swallows assistant coach, Zeca Marques. The PSL fined Marques R50 000 on a charge of misconduct relating to their game against Golden Arrows on August 8 at the Johannesburg Stadium.

Marques, who was the head coach for the match, was charged with misconduct as he arrived late for the prescribed pre-match coach interview in that he only arrived at 14h30 instead of 14h00, thus contravening section “A” of the media manual.

There is no story here, I have seen VV on both SS and SABC... he looked like he had just been taken out of a boot of a hijacked car!

Cheap journalism again. Did ppl expect Vladimir to be at two different places at the same time. When Marks was interviewing Muhsin, Robert was interviewing Vladimir, now is it Vladimir's fault that SABC had no time to do his interview coz they had to screen african soccer show. Come ppl stop this stupdity, I know some you hate KC, but that doesn;t mean u should see the man did nothing wrong. In fact Marks owe him an apology for lying to the nation that he couldnt find him. Cheap stupid journalism nxxxxx

Zola Majavu should tell us who complained to him because this obsession with Chiefs is getting out of hand. As for Wonder is is evident that he started supporting football in the late 90's, this indicated by his comments on this forum. This thing of calling Chiefs cheaps, Sundowns (Sunflower) and Pirates (Pie-rates) is done by people still wet behind their ears mascarading as adults. I think it is important to raise this other issue about sunday game. I suprised by Sylevester (Know it all) Ndaba last night on soccerzone when he was boasting about how good Qgubule and his other officials were on Sunday. he delibaretaley chose incident were Buyile did well and fail to talk about his bad calls on the game. In contrast Marawa and his panel on Supersport critically look at all the incidents of the match and they both agree that Ajax deserve the two penalties and they also agree that Chiefs deserve a penalty when Hlatswayo handled the ball inside Ajax penalty. they alos look at the incident before Ajax beautiful third goal by Cale and they agree they should have been a call for foul on Tshabalala by Selolwane. They also show an incident in the Pirates/Ajax Mtn 8 quarter final where Selolwane was thought to have used his arm when chest trapping the ball, the same Gqubule gave Pirates a Free kick which they scored. This shows incompetency on Buyile's side. I think SABC should get rid of Ndaba, Mangena,Mabona and Kekana, they are making soccerzone a joke since the departure of Marawa. They are always subjective in their comments no objectivity on their side.

you are right ma man, SABC and its crew are feeding us with lies and they are bias. They even (though I dont have proof) fired Walter Mokoena for voicing out how pathetic our coach and our captain are.

As for VV, Wonder please stop your nosense, our coach is world class, unlike your sundowns coach. Just cos he did not do an interview with the boring SABC does not mean he did not do any interview at all

Pierre my man....and the SAME subjective commentatory is ALSO applied on this forum by a lot of users. If only we could learn to comment where necessary and use objective approach then we'd all make meaningful contribution to this forum.

KaMashobana: 2009-08-25 14:35

Pierre: u are a damn liar... sis.Marawa and Farouk
pointed out that on the Shabalala incident, the Ajax player had "won the ball first"and the clipping either by himself or opponent happened thereafter so the referee was right to wave play-on. It was only 'imfundamakhwelo', doctor who emotionally disputed that ****ysis. Do not choose to hear what you want to hear.

Mafs: 2009-08-25 14:42

Pierre I agree with u 100%. Instead of ****ysing that incident when Hlatshwayo handled the ball, the so-called ameturish El Professri ****yse Torrelba's goal saying some ppl thought it was off-side. Come on when will people learn off-side rule. i still say stop this stupid cheap journalism, SABC sucks

Don : 2009-08-25 15:42

Thank God, our coach wont do such a stupid thing, thats more stoickov style

Fuze 1: 2009-09-03 13:30

SABC sport presenting is totally pooooorrrr and no wonder all quality sport presenters are leaving it. May let us give u-Gloria a chance, as they are now using her as an ****yst these days.
