Asamoah for Nurenburg trials

Asamoah for Nurenburg trials

Posted: 2009-08-21 10:10

Ghana Premier League top scorer Alex Asamoah says he will have trials with German Bundesliga side Nurenburg next week.

The Asante Kotoko striker who has already had one trial in Turkey says he will spend one week on trial in Germany as he looks to tie a deal before the end of the transfer window.

Asamoah hit sixteen goals to finish top scorer in Ghana despite starting many games from the bench and is keen to take his scoring exploits abroad.

He is looking to continue a trend where the domestic league's top goal scorer inevitably ends up playing their football abroad.

Prince Tagoe went to Saudi Arabia after winning the 2005 goal king while Emmanuel Clottey headed to Austria.

Eric Bekoe took two goal king awards before making Egypt his next home.
