Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune says there is still a lot he has to learn before he can be satisfied with his performance.

Despite a heroic performance against Orlando Pirates last week, and then keeping a clean-sheet against Manchester City in the Vodacom Challenge Final at Loftus Stadium on Saturday, Khune believes he is still learning.
 
“I know many have said that I have done well, but to me I am still learning,” he tells KickOff.com. “I still have to learn if I am to be regarded as one of the best or be counted among the best.
 
“But I’m still young and have age on my side. There are other elements of my game that I need to improve on before I can say I have made it. I will keep working hard and learning from the best and those around me. I want to do much better than I am currently am.”

Khune is fast improving as a goalkeeper, but in terms of dealing with crosses (corners too) he stil has a way to go. At times he makes dubious jumps and expects a bailout from the ref,very childish and girlish. Otherwise he's good . . . oh i've observed, during VC, that he gaining some weight. That could be a problem.

There surely is room for improvement for a goalkeeper that conceded such a lot of goal last season judging by chiefs' standards.....

I read that Phenyo Mongala is heading to Supersport United to replace Daine Klaite. He says what motivated his decision after Pirates decided not to sign him is the fact that players from Tukkies have all had wonderful spells at Supersport United!!!

Bhoza, i don't want to sound jealous. But if Chiefs are succesful as you claim then they should start competing in CAF. They've never been competitive at Champions league but they still want to be seen as formidable side globally!

Guys you should not expect people who do NOT support your teams to be nice to your teams!!!
It is perfectly acceptable to be biased towards your team, as they say, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, so we understand why you people think your favourite teams are the best.

Hehehehe, Diski99. Surely u want Chiefs to be in Charity Cup so u can get your revenge. I so wish we could stop complaining about fixture congestion. English teams more specifically the big four, play similar if not more frequent than what we will experience in the next season. I see this as an opportunity to improve as Khune says there is a load to learn. How can we compete with the best if we only get to play after a week even 2 as it was the case for other teams last season.

Close to 60% of South Africans favour the most respected brand and succesfull soccer team ever in Mzanzi ( I mean who can blame them) followed by bucs with about 30% and the rest is shared by the remaining not so powerfull teams. Now bieng that the case, would you not capitalise on the largest market share if for instance you were an entrepreneur! Lyk it or not Chiefs is big hence were the purchasing power resides!! You reckon Chickmagnet is used by Kali in this forum to attract big businesses for financial begging? Seriously it won’t be long before we see Mike ‘Sporo’ Mangena collapse in the studio after Chiefs scores a winning goal. michael - can't be compared to useless cows like Moneeb. He won those awards and was roped by Khoza for Teko 2 season ago. He is the best and represents the national team. What did he (Moneeb) win? Nothing, you will brag about that nomination while Khune plays against the best in the world. Moneeb is inconsistent, while Khune is a season keeper and a team player if you look at his distributions.

papzen - Mangena is one confused person. Chiefs don't need his endorsement to win things. He was proud en happy to see Yeye been brutalized by Pirates player. That player deserved a red card and that would have given Chiefs advantage to win the game. Mangena is clueless. He is obviously disappointed that Chiefs is performing this good.

hold on now guys how can anyone compare khune to josephs. firstly if you look at their history you will see that khune has achieved a lot in 2 seasons than what josephs has achieved in all the teams he has played for. don't 4get to look at their ages. to do well in a team like chiefs takes a lot especially if the men before you have done so well.very few keepers leave chiefs without a major trophy. see what pressure did to the likes of senzo meyiwe,francis chansa. but hey mabhakhaniya don't stress josephs is still young he will learn once he grows all his teeth.
