Serie A: Milan consolidate fourth spot

Krzysztof Piatek bagged a brace to inspire AC Milan to a come-from-behind victory over Atalanta in Serie A.
Cagliari 2-1 Parma
Ten-man Cagliari moved six points clear away from the relegation zone after coming from behind to beat Parma 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Juraj Kucka broke the deadlock for Parma five minutes before the break but Leonardo Pavoletti levelled matters for Cagliari in the 65th minute and netted the winner two minutes before time to complete his brace.
João Pedro received his second yellow card and was sent off for the hosts in the last minute of regulation time and Cagliari had a nervy ending in stoppage time playing with ten men.
The victory took Cagliari to 14th on the table, while Parma remained 12th on the log with 29 points from 24 rounds of action.
Atalanta 1-3 AC Milan
AC Milan solidified fourth position in Serie A with a 3-1 victory over Atalanta thanks to a brace by Krzysztof Piatek on Saturday evening.
Remo Freuler broke the deadlock for Atalanta in the 33rd minute but Piatek found the equaliser for Milan in first-half stoppage time.
Hakan Calhanoglu made it 2-1 for Gennaro Gattuso’s charges ten minutes after halftime, while Piatek sealed the three points in the 61st minute, to give the visitors breathing space for the last half-an-hour.
Milan consolidated fourth position with 42 points from 24 rounds of matches while Atalanta remained fifth with 38 points from the same number of matches.
