Judging by the way he has started in this season’s edition of the Champions League, with two goals against Leones Vegetarianos in the preliminary round, Brockie is fired up for the competition.

Sundowns will need their marksman to be on top form when they play against Al Ahly Benghazi of Libya in a first round, first leg clash in Egypt on Sunday.

Downs coach Pitso Mosimane will not be underestimating Al Ahly because they have to play their home matches in different countries due to the civil strife in their homeland.

“They aren’t disturbed by not having a home. Don’t look at Libya as a country, looking at what’s happening there,” Mosimane said.

“They are based in one place, training and are focused. It’s not going to be easy. They also won’t have a midweek game like us. They are relaxed and are waiting for us. We have to do what we have to do, try and get a decent result away from home and not put ourselves under pressure to do everything at home, but hopefully we finish it here.”
