Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says Baroka goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze deserved to be man of the match for "being the best" at time-wasting.

Mosimane took aim at the Zimbabwean after the clubs played to a goalless league draw at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday.

"They have a very good goalkeeper," Mosimane said.

"He deserved man of the match for playing. He deserved man of the match for killing time. He is the best in killing time. He is another level."

Mosimane feels referee Phillip Tinyane should have punished Chipezeze for his antics.

"Phillip is not experienced to deal with this kind of African influence. If it was [Victor] Gomes he was going to deal with him because you find two players on the floor and the keeper is down.

"He did it against Pirates so many times limping. How can you limp so many times and you manage to play the full game? When it goes to penalties you dive without limping.

"It reminds me of the AS Vita keeper here. He is good keeper, there is no doubt, and deserved the man of the match award. But when somebody does that how do you crown him man of the match? Where is fair play?"

The Absa Premiership champions, in third place on the log with 22 points from 12 matches, will next travel to Egypt to face Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi in the first round of the CAF Champions League this weekend.
