National Under-20 midfielder Promise Mkhuma has put the side's emphatic victory over Mauritius behind him and is focused on their next COSAFA Championships test against Swaziland.

The Mamelodi Sundowns reserve team captain was named man of the match in the 5-0 victory over Mauritius on Monday in Nkana, Zambia, and is determined to build on the performance, so that Amajita go on to defend their COSAFA title.

Amajita take on Swaziland in Group B in Nkana on Saturday (13h00).

“Credit must go to all of my teammates and the technical staff as well,” Mkhuma told SAFA's website.

“Everybody worked extremely hard for one another to get that result. We fought for one another and I am also happy that I was able to get an individual accolade as well.

“Our next match will be against eSwatini this coming Saturday. My intention is to continue working hard for the team. We know that it is not going to be an easy game. However, we have every intention of coming out with a positive result in that game.”

Amajita have a squad with a number of creative players such as Mkhuma, Thabiso Monyane and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo. These are the players head coach Thabo Senong will be banking on to tear the Swaziland defence apart.
