Bucs confirm Ndengane registration

Orlando Pirates have confirmed the CAF registration of new signing Alfred Ndengane for their upcoming campaign.

The Buccaneers have yet to officially announce the signing, but KickOff.com earlier reported the 31-year-old’s presence within their camp following his departure from Bloemfontein Celtic early last month.

Now, with the club set to embark on their CAF Champions League campaign later this month, Pirates have announced their full squad to take part in the competition.

Coach Milutin Sredojevic has a 27-man squad at his disposal for the preliminaries, with three spots left open should they qualify for the group stages of the competition, which will commence early next year.

Pirates will travel to Seychelles to face Light Stars in their first assignment in the tournament.

Notable exclusions from the squad include: Wayne Sandilands, Diamond Thopola, Thabo Matlaba, Gladwin Shitolo, Thabiso Kutumela, Augustine Mahlonoko, Luvuyo Memela and Lyle Foster.

Bucs' CAF squad:

Goalkeepers: Siyabonga Mpontshane, Jackson Mabokgwane, Brilliant Khuzwayo.

Defenders: Happy Jele, Ntsikelelo Nyauza, Marshall Munetsi, Alfred Ndengane, Mthokozisi Dube, Abbubaker Mobara, Abel Mabaso, Asavela Mbekile, Innocent Maela, Paseka Mako, Caio Marcelo.

Midfielders: Musa Nyatama, Xola Mlambo, Ben Motshwari, Mpho Makola, Linda Mntambo, Meshack Maphangule.

Forwards: Thembinkosi Lorch, Augustine Mulenga, Thabo Qalinge, Vincent Pule, Justin Shonga, Thamsanqa Gabuza, Kudakwashe Mahachi.
