Paris Saint-Germain maintained their 100 percent record in Ligue 1 this season with an emphatic 4-0 win over AS Monaco on Sunday night.

Cavani opened the scoring for the Parisians in the fourth minute with a simple tap in at close range after he was setup by Neymar, 0-1.

Cavani quickly doubled the lead for PSG and got his brace in the 11th minute almost in a similar fashion as the first goal but this time it was Moussa Diaby who delivered a square pass from the left side of the box for the Uruguayan to finish at close range.

Monaco could not keep the ball long enough to create chances in the match after 20 minutes, which made it easy for the visitors to dictate terms.

Thomas Tuchel’s men were threatening to run away with the game towards the end of the half with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar un-containable upfront.

Julian Draxler was denied a goal for the visitors in stoppage time of the first half by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) after he was adjudged to have been a fraction offside before side-footing his strike into the back of the net.

Cavani eventually got the third goal for PSG and completed hat-trick eight minutes into the second stanza with another simple finish following a square pass from Diaby.

Neymar made it 4-0 for the Parisians in the 64th minute from the penalty spot after Mbappe was brought down inside the box.

WIth 12 minutes to go, Mbappe got the ball in the back of the net against his former side, but the goal was ruled out for offside after consultation with the VAR.

The pace of the game slowed down in the last five minutes as PSG were took their foot off the gas pedal and cruised to victory.

PSG have won all of their 13 games so far in the campaign and lead the standings by a massive 13 points ahead of second placed Lille.
