Sikhakhane's replacement exits Eagles

In a bizarre twist of events, KickOff.com understands that Royal Eagles have parted ways with Serbian coach Zlatko Krmpotic before he even took charge of a game.

Krmpotic joined the NFD side at the end of last month when the late Roger Sikhakhane was on his deathbed.

However, this website has since been informed that the former ZESCO United tactician is no longer with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.

"They just didn't agree terms with the coach, that's all I know," a source says.

KickOff.com sought clarity from Eagles general manager James Dlamini, who declined to comment.

Sikhakhane will be laid to rest on Saturday in Wasbank after passing away at the age of 42 from a long illness last weekend.

Eagles' match against Mbombela United at KaNyamazane Stadium has consequently been postponed.

Sazi Ngubani was coaching the team in a caretaker capacity prior to the arrival of Krmpotic, who required a work permit before he could assume his duties in the dugout.

Ngubani and Kagisho Dikgacoi were initially handed the reins as co-coaches when Sikhakhane went on sick leave four games into the season, but 'KG' was later removed by management.
