Banyana star shares Australia challenges

Banyana Banyana vice-captain Refiloe Jane has spoken about the challenge of having to transition following her move to Australia.

Jane is preparing for the new W-League season with Canberra United Down Under, not too long after representing Banyana in the COSAFA Women's Championship and the back-to-back international friendlies against Chile last week.

Jane made the move to Australia with Rhoda Mulaudzi and says it has not been the easiest of pre-seasons.

"We are very excited for the upcoming season. It's an opportunity for us to play in the W-League, so we are looking forward to the season," Jane told the media in Australia.

"We had a good pre-season, but it was not easy to transition into pre-season from where we come from, but we will do whatever it takes to make sure that we are ready by the time the league starts.

"The transition of playing in South Africa to Australia has been difficult, looking at the fact that there is no professional league where we come from, so that transition was a bit challenging."

Jane has been in fine form for Banyana and will be hoping to transfer her good performances to club level.

Canberra open their season against Melbourne City at McKellar Park on October 28.
