Itumeleng Khune

The Kaizer Chiefs man remains one of Africa's best goalkeepers and his contribution can never go unnoticed. While goalkeepers are not recognised as much as strikers, Khune has on many occasion been the reason Bafana were not on the losing side. He may not be upfront to score a goal, but Khune can ensure that the national team does not lose. He is yet to concede in the qualifiers.

Hlatshwayo and Mkhwanazi partnership

Thulani Hlatshwayo and Buhle Mkhwanazi play together at the back for Bidvest Wits, so it's very easy for them to play together at national team level. They got to play together for the first time in the national team against Libya last month, keeping a clean sheet in the goalless encounter. They are likely to start together again in central defence, which is good because they communicate well and they know how to cover one another when errors are made.

Strikers are on form

Baxter is very fortunate that the strikers he has selected for the game are scoring for the clubs they are playing for. Percy Tau is enjoying his football in Belgium and recently scored his first league goal after bagging one in the cup, while Dino Ndlovu and Lebo Mothiba are also finding the back of the net in China and France respectively.
