EPL Wrap: Burnley hit Cherries for four

Burnley finally got their campaign off the mark in fine style, while Leicester City cruised past Huddersfield Town in Saturday's Premier League action.

Fulham 1-1 Watford

Fulham got out of jail thanks to Aleksander Mitrovic late in the second half to force a 1-1 draw with Watford.

The visitors got off to the perfect start when Andre Gray put them in front in just 90 seconds to set them on their way but were pegged back later on.

The result does little to change the position of either side, with Watford remaining in the top-four and Fulham in the bottom half.

Burnley 4-0 Bournemouth

Burnley got their campaign off the mark in fine style with a 4-0 hammering of Bournemouth at Turf Moor.

It was all thanks to Matej Vydra, Aaron Lennon and a double from Ahley Barnes that handed them their first win of the season to move them off the basement.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

A spate of misses from both sides saw Crystal Palace and Newcastle United play to a goalless draw at Selhurst Park.

In as much as it’s a point gained for Newcastle, it’s also a chance missed to move away from the danger zone, with Palace ruing the opportunity to stamp their authority in the mid-tier.

Leicester City 3-1 Huddersfield Town

Leicester survived an early scare to stage a come-from-behind 3-1 win over Huddersfield at the King Power Stadium.

Following the opening strike from Mathias Jorgensen, City strike back through Kelechi Iheanacho before James Maddison and Jamie Vardy put the sword in the visitors coffin.

Leicester continue their upward trend, while David Wagner’s side move rock-bottom following Burnley’s win over Bournemouth.
