Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says "football can punch you back" if you don't exercise humility.
Sredojevic is working on keeping his men grounded after they beat Black Leopards 2-1 and SuperSport United 3-1 in back-to-back clashes.
The Sea Robbers next host Cape Town City at Orlando Stadium tonight (19h30).
"We do not need to be carried away by these wins," said Sredojevic, whose side are three points shy of log leaders Bidvest Wits after six games apiece.
"Knowing the way how football has rewarded our players for hard work, the way football can punch you back, therefore with humility and full understanding we need to continue working hard.
"We need to expose their weakness and close their strong points. We are preparing for this match in total peace."
City, in 12th spot on the log, are coming to Johannesburg after suffering a 4-1 mauling by Kaizer Chiefs on the weekend, and could well be without their coach Benni McCarthy for family reasons.
'Micho', though, has ample respect for the MTN8 finalists.
"With due respect of coach Benni McCarthy, they have a wonderful team that has proven themselves by edging Mamelodi Sundowns and reaching the finals of the MTN8.
"With that in mind we know that we are playing against a competitive team that wants to use the matches ahead of the final against SuperSport United to gain competitive form, to lead them to go all out for the finals in Durban.
"In that regard we know the threat we are having. They know us, we know them. We know the details."
Bucs are without suspended striker Thamsanqa Gabuza, with City defender Taariq Fielies likewise serving a ban.
