Former Golden Arrows coach Mlungisi 'Professor' Ngubane is back in the country after parting ways with Swazi side Mbabane Highlanders.

Ngubane was forced to use the back door at Somhlolo Stadium after fans bayed for his blood after a 3-1 loss to Mbabane Swallows in the country's biggest derby in Lobamba on Sunday.

Highlanders spokesperson Mpumelelo Mnisi has confirmed that Ngubane has resigned from the club.

"It is true that the coach has left the club after citing a medical condition," Mnisi told the Swazi Observer.

Ngubane initially linked up with the club in November 2017.

Meanwhile, fellow South African coach Humphrey Mlwane, who is in charge of Mbabane Citizens, had to forfeit points to Moneni Pirates on the weekend in Swaziland.

The ex-Kaizer Chiefs midfielder had only eight players available for the game and hence had to concede defeat.
