Former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Innocent Nemukondeni and ex-Kaizer Chiefs man Philani Cele left the country on Monday to go for trials at Egyptian side Petrojet.

Nemukondeni is a free agent after parting ways with Celtic in April, while Cele recently left National First Division outfit Richards Bay FC.

Both midfielders will have a one-week assessment in North Africa, according to a source.

"Innocent and Philani are both off to Egypt for trials with Petrojet," said the source.

"They will spend one week with the club."

Petrojet are 10th in the topflight standings with eight points from seven games.
