KickOff.com can confirm that Golden Arrows have completed the signing of former Orlando Pirates defender Frank Motebejane.
Abafana Bes'thende ventered into the market due to an injury to Zolani Nkombelo, who is only expected back in November according to club coach Clinton Larsen.
Motebejane has been with Arrows since pre-season, having been part of the side that defeated Maritzburg United in the quarter-finals of the KZN Premier's Cup at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu.
The 23-year-old was last season on the books of National First Division outfit Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC. He played 27 games and scored once for Sello Choke's team.
Motebejane will now compete for game-time with fellow recruit Divine Lunga of Zimbabwe.
“Motebejane is now registered and he has signed for the team,” Larsen tells this website.
“At the moment with Nkombelo out, he’s competing with Divine Lunga for the left-back position and he has been doing very well so far.”
The Tzaneen-born defender was previously enlisted by Pirates alongside Yusuf Maart after garnering attention at the 2016 SAB National League play-offs in Limpopo.
However, Motebejane only played one season with the Sea Robbers in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge before moving to TTM.
