PSL announce new partners

The Premier Soccer League have announced a new partnership with the South African Police Service.

The League on Thursday added SAPS to their stable of partners, as they seek to eradicate violence and vandalism at stadiums around the country.

These efforts come after criminal acts at PSL fixtures have become frequent in recent months, particularly with pitch invasions posing safety risks.

The partnership is set to see an increased presence of police officers at Absa Premiership and MultiChoice Diski Challenge fixtures, beginning with this weekend's reserve league festival in Hammarsdale.

This is a developing story...
