Phumlani Ntshangase wants to stay at SuperSport United beyond the expiry of his loan deal at the end of the season.

Ntshangase is currently on loan at United from Bidvest Wits where he fell out of favour.

"Officially I'm a Wits player. I'm here on loan and SuperSport is a good team," Ntshangase said.

"I would love to stay here if it happens in the future."

Before he joined SuperSport, Ntshangase was training with Wits' development team and admitted that it was frustrating not to be playing regularly.

"Obviously I was not playing regularly there so I needed a new start in life and needed to move so I can get some more game-time, and SuperSport raised their hands first.

"I could not say no to a team like them because they have a good bunch of players and have a team that is competitive, and they are winners also.

"I'm from a winning team and I want to win more cups, so I ended up choosing them because there is more competition and I'm going to grow more in football."

Ntshangase made his Matsatsantsa debut in the 2-2 draw with Kaizer Chiefs in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-finals in Tshwane last weekend.

The second leg is at FNB Stadium on Saturday (20h15).
