Highlands Park coach Owen da Gama says his team will not be signing former Orlando Pirates defender Ayanda Gcaba.
Gcaba and fellow ex-Buccaneer Tendai Ndoro recently started training with the topflight returnees with the hopes of winning contracts.
However, Da Gama has revealed Gcaba, who ended a six-year Bucs tenure on loan at Platinum Stars (now called Cape Umoya United) last term, has since moved on.
"Gcaba, I don't think we will be signing him," says Da Gama of the 32-year-old.
"Ndoro is still here. He just came here only Saturday. We didn't have much time to look at him because we were busy with preparations for the Sundowns game."
Zimbabwean hitman Ndoro had a brief spell at Ajax Cape Town in 2017/18. He attracted headlines as the club were docked points for fielding him when ineligible and were relegated following a lengthy legal battle.
The unbeaten Lions of the North have three points from three games, and next visit Baroka in the league at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.
