Qalinge has already been ruled out of their opening fixture against topflight returnees Highlands Park, after suffering a “muscle abductor strain” in a friendly fixture against First Division side Stellenbosch FC.

The 26-year-old winger is said to be experiencing discomfort, according to a statement from the club, and will continue with rehab, thus ruling him out of contention for the opening weekend.

Meanwhile, Lorch is currently receiving treatment after he picked up a knock to the knee during Pirates’ friendly encounter against Cape Town City on the weekend.

The Bafana Bafana attacker is doubtful for the meeting with the Lions of the North set for Saturday, August 4 at the Orlando Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 20h15.
