Antonio Conte will reportedly sue Chelsea after being sacked last week, following months of uncertainty surrounding his future at the Premier League side.
After leading the Blues to the Premier League title in his debut season and the FA Cup during the 2017/18 campaign, a breakdown in relationship with owner Roman Abramovic and experienced members of the first-team effectively ended his tenure.
While he exit came as no surprise, the former Juventus boss is reportedly furious over the prolonged process over the past month, which renders him unemployed and no vacancies at the elite clubs across Europe.
With Real Madrid and the Italy national team said to have been interested in his services before hiring Roberto Mancini and Julen Lopetegui respectively - the London based side kept Conte in his job until the first week of pre-season, before replacing him with Maurizio Sarri last week.
Conte is believed to have received a £9million pay-off for the year he had remaining on his Chelsea contract and will now seek further compensation for over damage to his career and loss of future earnings.
It took the Blues 55 days to announce his departure since their FA Cup triumph over Manchester United at Wembley and reports surfacing in English media claim the Italian could have a fair case for unfair dismissal.
