According to sources close to the deal, Tau and Albion have agreed on a switch subject to him passing his physical assessment on Wednesday.

Barring no further hiccups, Brighton are expected to loan the Bafana Bafana international to another team in Europe in the new season.

"His papers has been sorted out and he is leaving for England tonight," says an informant.

"He is due for a medical tomorrow."

Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe recently instructed the club's management to pave the way for Tau's transfer to Albion after the player and his agent apologised for boycotting pre-season training and leaking information to the media in a bid to force a move.

Albion have reportedly tabled an offer in the region of R50 million for the PSL Footballer of the Season.
