Maurizio Sarri, who led Napoli to a record points total last season, is expected to replace the 48-year-old who won the league title in his debut campaign with the Blues.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis announced on Wednesday the coach whom he already replaced Carlo Ancelotti with - was closing in on a move to the Premier League giants.

"Sarri is close to being new Chelsea manager. My lawyers are in talks with his lawyers to finalise everything," he told Sky News.
